Spiritual Beliefs=happiness?

 The University of British Columbia asked 315 children through ages 9-12  to take a test to see if their spiritual beliefs had anything to do with their overall happiness. The University asked them questions like how often they pray/meditate or if they feel like their is a higher being. The results were astounding, in the 315 kids 6.5-16.5% of them, their happiness was credited to their spiritual beliefs.  So yes spiritual beliefs do have an effect on the way you live , act and feel.  wow can you imagine how much happier the world would be if we all believed in God?! How would the world change. Everything would be so different.

fun days

 Well yesterday keelie got her senior pictures taken. And then we all went out to eat at the Hub. I had a hamburger YUMMY. Thanks keelies mom! and  then we went on a tour to amanda’s dad’s tire shop. It was the best tour i’ve ever been on. Even though there was a rubber dust fight!! Thanks Amanda. I love getting together with friends it is the best time ever.  We all have so much fun and  enjoy each others company. Thank-you to all my friends for being there for me!!

Spring Break

What I did during spring break was just relax. I did clean most of the house, well the up stairs anyway. But i had a chance to read a few good books which i really enjoyed. They were a western series by Lori Wick about three brothers that feel in love. All three books incorporated God, prayer ,the bible and how it changed their lives, their parents were unbelievers but they end up coming to realize that they need God in their life. I think it was called the Yellow Rose Trilogy, if you ever get a chance to read these it really helped me understand how to tell unbelievers about Christ.  

The weather was so nice I spent a lot of time outside. We had to work in our barn though a few days to get it ready for the summer and all that stuff. But I don’t mind working hard if I have a good reason. We started planting our garden too, with potatoes, lettuce, radishes, and strawberries. So I was so glad to see that it was raining today! grow little plants..!!

And then Saturday Keelie spent the night at my house! Of course we stayed up late watching movies and talking. We watched a Knights Tale, which is one of my all time favorites. And that weekend I also watched Atonement,with Keira Knightly. It was great. The beginning was kinda slow but it got really good as it went along. If your in the mood for a love story/war movie watch this movie!!

And that is pretty much all my spring break. Hope yours was great to!!

Easter

Well it is Easter this Sunday! wow already. Our Youth Group at my Church, every Easter Sunday we get up early( like 4 am) and fill hundreds of balloons with helium and tie them on cars and we also bring them to other churches in our area. The balloons all say something to the affect of Jesus is Alive, or has a cross on it, or a verse.The Youth really like to do this because we think of it as our ministry. Maybe someone will see our balloons and think of the resurrection in a totally different way. God can always use something little for good. Have a good Easter! What will your ministry be?

Plans for Spring Break

Well I hope for spring break that I will be able to just relax. I don’t know if there is anything planned on my schedule yet or not , I’m always the last to know anything!  Probably just help my dad out, fixing things inside and outside of the house. And playing with our new baby lambs should be fun to we now have 8 of them!. And hopefully I will find time to just sit and read my book. That is what I hope my spring break is going to be.!

The Home Stretch

Well its the last nine weeks of the year!! Wow time fly by so fast it seems like we just started school a few months ago. I’m kinda scarred of next year since it will be my senior year.. that’s a lot of pressure.. But the end of this year is going to be hard i think. The last quarter always is. All kinds of stuff just seems to pile up on me and i feel so overwhelmed by it. Its always hard to keep my priorities straight. it is hard to keep on top of things so it will be a challenge to keep my grades up. Soon enough i will be a senior!! wow..

weekend

 This is Friday!! Can you believe it?! and on top of that it was pi day. march 13 or 3.14. So we all brought pie and posters for credit. Friday and i got to eat pie! what a great day. It has been so warm, it makes me want spring to hurry up and get here. Helpfully it will still be warm this weekend so i can be outside. I love to be outside and just enjoy the day.           Everyone seems to be in a good mood today,  Chemistry was practically a giggle fest. Over all this has been one of the best days in a long time.

I’m going to be a Senior!!

Today all the Juniors got their basic schedule for their senior year. And it just hit me, I’m a junior, next year is my last year of high school!!! Then the real world… wow.. I’m a little scarred about not knowing what I’m going to do after high school. And just the part that i have to grow up is hard.. but on the other hand it has its privileges to, drivers license, experiencing things on your own, college. This is a big step for me to acknowledge that I am going to be a senior.. But its comforting to know that God will be with me all the way and will be there if I need him . And i also have great friends that are always there for me too.

Breaking Dawn!!

Stephenie Meyer’s new book is coming out in August 2,2008!!! That’s only 151 days!! I can’t wait to read it! these books are so good. I almost get addicted to them, they have so much detail, that you really think that your the character. She is also making a movie out of her first book in the series, Twilight, it is supposed to start production this month… they have most of the cast picked out all-ready and you can see them  on her website http://www.thetwilightsaga.com/    this has all the latest information on her and her characters and the cast of the movie..I can’t decide whether i want to see the movie or just keep it in my head,how i pictured it.  If you haven’t read her books yet you should..!!

TGIF

This week felt like it was never going to end!!It was just dragging on and on and on… well it is finally Friday.. And then 2 long days of freedom,and nothingness!!!. Well i hope..  I actually might go shopping sometime on Saturday so that should be fun. Well i hope you all have a great weekend and happy march 1st. St. Patrick’s day is on March 17!! yeah that is one of the best holidays ever!!
