the most expensive food

Filed under: Uncategorized — by notkelly @ 12:52 am

One of the most expensive burgers is found in Manhatten for $99! now that’s a burger with 3 ounces of meat and 7 ounces of steak sauce. How would you like to sink you teeth into that! just makes me hungry thinking about it. But this surprised me more than a $99 hamburger , a fruit cake.. yes a fruit cake is the most expensive foods in the world. It is embedded with 223 small diamonds and was up for sale in 2005 for 1.6million dollars! A Tokyo chief was the creator, this expensive cake was displayed in a Japanese exhibit called “Diamonds:Natures Miracle” this amazing fruit cake is edible if you take out all the precious diamonds!   you can see the other 11 most expensive foods at  http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/11-of-the-worlds-most-expensive-foods1.htm

SAT vs ACT

Filed under: Uncategorized — by notkelly @ 6:47 pm

This has been a hard question for me and no one could really offer a good answer to it. So i hope this information will help you decide which one is better for you to take; it helped me.    The SAT and ACT  tests are designed to let college administrators judge all students at the same level. The SAT  tests critical thinking skills. Also there isn’t any science, trig. or grammar sections. The math sections count for 50% of your grade. If you take the SAT more than once all your scores are showed to the college, good and bad. The ACT on the other hand is mainly a content based test. It also has a science, grammar and trigonometry. Your vocabulary skills are not as important as in the SAT. Also the math sections only count for 25% of your total score. And if you take it more than once you can choose which test score you want the college to see. The ACT is entirely multiple choice as the SAT has no multiple choice at all.  The ACT was originally only used in the mid west to the west coast, but is moving this way. Many people think it to be a better test, but for now it is personal preference.

Presidents Day

Filed under: Random outside of school thigs — by notkelly @ 6:17 pm

president.jpgDid you know that presidents day was originally George Washington’s birthday? Well almost, the first actual day of national celebration was in 1796, however George Washington was really born on the 22 of February, according to the calender that has been used since the mid-18th century but if you look at the calender  that was used back then his date of birth would be the 11th.  While Washington’s Day was a federally observed holiday for the 22, the legisation was moved to change it to the third Monday in February whether it fell on the 22 or not (in order to condense and simplify the modern calender in 1968). But now this day is not only for President George Washington but also for President Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln was also born in February(12th), the first national day of recantation was in 1865, the year after his assassination.

In the mornings I’m reading Experiencing God. It is a really great study, but I dont remember who wrote it. But one thing i read this morning was that God is always at work around you. Wow.. At first i was like no way not all the time, but He really is! All the little things during the day that you think just happen by coincidence are really God working in your life! God is always with you isnt that comforting?! It makes me feel special that i can have the creator of the world always by my side!  Wow it really makes one think!!

My weekend

Filed under: Random outside of school thigs — by notkelly @ 6:31 pm

well this weekend was kinda just boring. which i like because i have time to myself to do whatever i want. Its fun to just curl up and read a good book or watch a movie.       On Saturday my mom and i went to see 27 dresses. It was very funny and romantic and very sweet but also believable.  I totally recomend this movie to anyone who likes a good chick flick.  The other movie that I really want to see is the bucket list to, it looks like its going to be so funny. With both Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman in it i dont know how it cant be good!!

presidental race

Mike Huckabee  seems like the best canidate in the republican race.  He has a good Christian back-ground and he lets people know what he believes in. He is pro-life,and as Governor of Arkansas he helped passed the Unborn Child Amendment. Mr. Huckabee also believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman, he also supports the Marriage Act. He also said that his faith and his professional life are not separated. This web site has alot of his beliefs and his stand points, it helped me understand what he was all about.  http://www.mikehuckabee.com

Super Bowl 42!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by notkelly @ 6:05 pm

The Super Bowl 42 is finally here!! The Packers lost to the Giants in a final score of 23-20 overtime. The New York Giants are only the second team to make it to the super bowl from a wild card pick. This is the Giants first super bowl in seven years. The New England Patriots with a record of 16-0 beat the Chargers 21-12. They are the first team carry a   16 -0 record in a single season.   Who do you think is going to win?   Personally I think the patriots have a better chance but I would like to see NY win.

In this past month the Lord has answered one of my biggest praryers! It is so uplifting to see something that you have asked for, for so long really happen! It has encouraged me so much to keep on living for God. I guess sometimes God waits because he wants you to lean on him and trust him during your hardest times. Even though i want to trust him fully its  so hard!. But God always has everything under control, and in the end it will work out according to his plan.
